He is also a speaker at the Independent Times component of One Movement For Music Perth, which runs October 16-18 2009.
Lawrence, what’s your favourite song this week?

Jim O’Rourke’s The Visitor - more an album than a song, but what the heck!
What do you hope to gain from the One Movement festival and conference?
Some frank and enlightening chewing of the musical fat.
Which artists’ showcase sets are you most looking forward to watching?
There’s some curious ones in there; I think the left of centre is where my ears will be drawn….
One Movement’s tagline is “Artist, Industry, Fan United.” What do you think needs to change in order to unite the music industry with its artists and fans?
Capitalism perhaps? No, in all seriousness, I think at a great many levels things are in alignment - that said we’re in a beautiful state of flux business-wise….it’d be awfully dull without a few good challenges!
