Last week’s conversation with Myke Brown, One Movement For Music guest speaker and manager of One Movement Showcase Festival artist Tata Young, proved to be one of the most popular entries on One Movement Word so far.

In tribute to Tata’s popularity ahead of her debut Australian performance, we’ve provided you with an additional quote from Myke Brown from Andrew McMillen’s interview, as well as footage of Tata performing live in August 2009.

Andrew: Have you managed Tata since the beginning of her career?

Myke: I started out with Tata as a tour manager. I was promoting a concert and I had two stages I had to fill with acts. I needed about 15 acts. Tata was one of them, and that was about 5 years ago. Right after that, her father called me and said, “I have this album I’m looking at doing. It will be the first time a Thai artist was going to do an English album.”

They did that. He called me up and I’ve been with her in a management capacity ever since that time, and gone through every single English album; her upcoming one is her third English album. In between those albums, I’ve been with her on her Thai albums. We’ve probably done twice as many Thai albums as we’ve done English albums. So 5 years later, I stepped from tour manager to full-time manager.
